hCG Diet is Eating Before Hitting the Sack Safe?

The hCG diet is a strict diet in a sense that you have to make sure that you consume only a limited number of calories per day.

The number of calories you intake in a day depends entirely on which phase of the hCG diet you’re on.

For example, if you’re on phase 2 of the hCG diet, you should only take as much as 800 calories per day for 2-4 weeks (depending on your weight loss goals).

If you’re in phase 3, you gradually increase that to 1200 calories, then 1500 calories, and then up at 1800 calories for the next 2 months.

The hCG diet may be a little unforgiving in the calories department but I am going to answer the age-old question: is eating before sleeping safe when on the hCG diet?

If you’re going to follow some old diet advice, it would always tell you to not eat 2-4 hours before bedtime if you want to lose weight.

The reason behind this is that your metabolism will be at its lowest point just 4 hours before bedtime.

Although that may be the case before where the matter was not yet well-researched, that is not true anymore.

You see, eating before bedtime might actually be beneficial for your weight loss than not eating a snack at all.

Why is that? It is because of your metabolism. Apparently, our bodies increase metabolic rate when it finds that there is enough food to give it energy in a given day.

That is why most diet advocates say that you need to eat 6 smaller portions of food a day rather than 3 full meals.

I am not advocating that you do this because part of the magic of the hCG diet is that you eat 3 full meals a day while still following the calorie restriction.

But, what I am trying to say is that if you portion your meals just right, you can still eat a snack before bedtime to help you with your weight loss efforts.

That being said, what are the best snacks you can eat before hitting the sack? Try to opt for foods that are easy to digest.

Foods such as Greek yogurt, bananas, and some nuts. Heck, you can even eat some chicken or fish as well as they are very easy to digest.

Eating before bedtime while on the hCG diet not only helps you increase your resting metabolic rate but it actually helps you maintain a healthy blood sugar level.

I know that we have been trained to follow some diet advice before but some of them have been debunked ever since.

So to recap, it is safe to eat a snack before hitting the bed while you’re on the hCG diet, provided that you eat the right kinds of foods and that it still fits with your calorie limit for the day.

Losing weight while on the hCG diet doesn’t have to be hard; you just have to be armed with the right information.
